Event Details:

  • May 17-19 2019

  • Lodging is in dorms (10 bunk beds each, 8 dorms) Green rectangles on map

Packing List:

  • Wagon to haul your gear

  • Sleeping Bags and Pillows

  • Sleeping pad as desired 

  • Lantern and Flashlight

  • Your AG Vests!! 

  • Midnight Meat Football (1-2 per circle min)

  • Camping Chair/s

  • Sunscreen

  • Extra set of corn hole, ladder ball, etc

  • Weather should be mid 70s-low 80s in the day and low 50s at night...pack accordingly 

  • Toiletries

  • Second set of shoes or water shoes should you fall/jump in the lake

  1. From OC...91 East toward Riverside to the 10 east toward Redlands

  2. Pass the 215 then Exit Orange Street in Redlands.

  3. After the stop light, proceed straight one block to Orange Street and turn left. Go North on Orange Street to Lugonia Street (CA-38) and turn right.

  4. CA-38 runs all the way past Camp Oakes to Big Bear. Watch for the Onyx Summit sign, which is 40.5 miles past the Orange/Lugonia intersection.

  5. Five miles past this sign is Lake Williams Road, the turn off for Camp Oakes.

  6. Turn right onto Lake Williams Road, right on Lakewood, right on Skyview then left on Monte Vista (there are small "Camp Oakes" signs along the way to camp)follow the dirt road to the office.

Arrive: 5pm

Dinner On Your Own: 6-7:30pm
Big Bear is ~20 min away

8pm Dance Party

8:20pm Movie Night

Saturday

Breakfast: 8am and Orientation

Lunch: 12:15pm

New Navigator Induction: ~1pm by the lake

Dinner: 5:30pm with 2018-2019 SlideShow

Campfire 7pm

Observatory: 8:30/8:45pm (telescope to view through, stories about constellations and more)

Midnight Meat: ~9:30pm

Activities A: 9am-11:45am

- Sling Shot

- BB Rifles

- Archery

- Fishing (bamboo sticks, hooks....catch and release)

Activities B: 1:30pm-5pm

- Canoes (6 canoes, sit 4 each)...lake is 4-5 ft deep, ~10 min to circle

- Craft Time (lantern making)

- Sling Shot #2

- Team Strategy/Low Ropes Challenge Course (20 daughters at a time, will be scheduled)

Sunday

Round Up: 7:45am

Breakfast: 8am

Departure: 12pm

Activities C: 9am-11:45am

- Low Ropes Continued (if needed it will cancel gold panning or rifles)

- Gold Panning
