Event Summary

  • Camping at Whiskey Bay Dry Campground

  • 12 campsites @ 4 people max 

  • 7 RV sites @ 8 people max

  • 3 cabins (2 for 2 dads/4 daughters and 1 for 2 dads/2 daughters)

  • Food is on each circle to procure/prepare except for Sat lunch (prepared for us). 

  • Meals can be prepared "expedition kitchen" style should that be chosen

  • You need to obtain a fishing license. Supervised children do not need a license.

  • You need to bring fishing gear. This is no bait fishing - lures and flies only. Suggestion is to use a single barbless hook on a lure. 

  • You can also leverage a fishing guide who can help with gear and how-to.

Stuff to Pack

The weather looks to be low 50s as the high and low 30s as the low - it'll be cold.  Plan accordingly and check the weather again before you leave. 

​This is a minimum list and somewhat subjective, so bring what makes sense for you and your daughter:

  • Tent (w spikes and hammer to secure)

  • Cots, Air Mattress, Sleeping Pads, etc

  • Sleeping Bags (make sure it's rated for the temperature we'll be in)

  • Pillows

  • Blanket(s)

  • Space Heater (Mr Heater works great)

  • Camp Chairs

  • Cooler for drinks and snacks

  • Water 

  • Fishing Gear & License

  • Vests

  • Lanterns, Flashlights and Headlamps

  • Extra Batteries 

  • Warm clothes/layers - gloves, beanies, hoodies, jackets, etc.

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Snuggle buddy for your daughter

  • Toiletries (showers are unlikely, bring bath/camping wipes)

  • Fishing Contest - via photo, largest catch wins

  • Paddleboard - bring your own

  • Hiking - there are many trails nearby
